HOPE 4 Youth is excited to announce that Linda Bryant has been hired as our new Executive Director! Linda has three decades of successful experience working with youth, teens, families and adults in developing, implementing and delivering programs that have assisted thousands of Minnesotans in overcoming barriers that have worked to prevent changing their life trajectories.
“The Board of Directors is excited to welcome Linda as HOPE 4 Youth’s new Executive Director,” said Chris Warner, Board Chair. “Linda’s commitment and passion will build upon our current successes and lead HOPE 4 Youth to the next level of growth and development.”
Linda is the former Vice President of Programs with EMERGE Community Development located in Minneapolis. Her tenured experience includes designing programs to meet individual basic needs which included food shelves, domestic violence programming for immigrant women and projects that addressed the needs of chronically homeless families. Her youth work experience was the backbone of her work for many years and included the creation of community-based youth programming, homeless youth outreach initiatives and workforce development programs and services for young adults and teens.
“We are very excited to have Linda taking on the role of Executive Director,” adds Sue Woodard, Past Board Chair and Search Committee Chair. “Linda brings an exceptional combination of energy, passion, and proven leadership to the challenges of working with youth experiencing homelessness. Both the Board and Staff are impressed with her extensive knowledge and experience, and we know Linda will not only continue to develop HOPE 4 Youth’s programs, but also work with partners, donors and the community to provide even more pathways to end youth homelessness.”
Linda currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership and is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator with NCDA. She is a strong believer in developing leaders and enjoys providing professional coaching to others who see themselves as or want to become potential leaders.
Growing up in Minnesota most of her life, Linda enjoys spending summers attending traditional community events, spending free time with her grandchildren, reading and indulging in an occasional weekend of Netflix binging.
Linda will officially assume her role on February 3, 2020.
