Aspen’s Story

Aspen has been coming to HOPE 4 Youth for roughly nine months. When she first came to us, her only parent had recently passed away. She was all alone; she had no relatives or close friends to turn to for help. She was left alone in a house with no electricity, heat, or resources for food. She learned of HOPE 4 Youth and immediately began building a relationship with the team. Through her Case Manager, she learned about a local emergency shelter where she could stay short term. She continued to meet with her Case Manager at HOPE 4 Youth and slowly became more involved at the H4Y Center. She joined a group where she discovered art is a healthy outlet for her. This, along with therapy, has supported her battle with anxiety. Life is moving positively forward for Aspen as she recently moved into a group home and is finding healthy ways to cope and has built a support system.
