12 Days of HOPE 4 Youth: Day 10

On the tenth day of Christmas, Steve has HOPE 4 Youth helping to guide him on his path to the future. Steve came to the Drop-In Center because he had no basic needs items and no place to stay. One of our Case Managers was able to find a bed at a local shelter for him and the next day Steve returned to the Drop-In Center to begin his journey forward. His goals included obtaining his license, finding a job, earning his GED, and securing his own housing. Steve came in almost every day that the Drop-In Center was opened and worked closely with his Case Manager to find jobs that he’d be qualified for. He spent several days working on his resume before applying for four jobs that were posted to the Drop-In Center Job Board. He also met with Jenilee from the Anoka County Workforce Center so he can earn his GED through the Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Steve’s journey is just beginning … stay tuned for an update in a few weeks.
