HOPE 4 Youth Drop-In Center in Anoka is the hub for a majority of our services for young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. It is a safe, non-judgmental place for youth of all backgrounds, races, and genders. No appointment is necessary to visit. Our Drop-In Center provides basic needs such as hot meals, grab and go foods, clothing, laundry facilities, a shower, and more. Additionally, we have on-site Case Managers to help connect youth to stable housing, health and wellness programs, education and employment opportunities, and more.
HOPE Place is a 12-unit transitional housing facility in Coon Rapids that offers supportive services to young people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. HOPE Place staff and community partners provide on-site case management, including education and employment guidance, aimed at promoting self-sufficiency and long-term success. Youth must be 18-24 years old living in the north metro and willing to complete a goals plan to be eligible to live at HOPE Place. To learn more, contact call 763.323.2066, ext. 203.
Our Host Homes program formalizes situations where a family friend, relative, or neighbor allows a young person to stay at their place to avoid being homeless.
Listening to the concerns of both youth and adults, we help create agreements about shared expectations so that everyone is on the same page. We connect participants to community resources and, in some cases, offer financial support to offset the costs created by a guest living in a home.
If you’re the guest of a caring adult and you’d like to keep staying there, or if you’ve opened your home to a young person at risk for homelessness, let HOPE 4 Youth turn the couch-hopping arrangement into a Host Home.
Eligibility: People under 25 who are at risk for homelessness in the northwest metro and the adults they are staying with (who are at least 10 years older) are eligible to apply for the HOPE Homes program. To learn more, contact our Host Homes Specialist, Chong Vang, at email@example.com or 763.323.2066, ext. 117.
