ITEMS WE ACCEPT

We are so thankful you’ve thought of donating items to HOPE 4 Youth. Many youth visit our Drop-In Center for essential items; including food, hygiene, clothing, household, and gift cards. These essential items help restore a sense of hope, self-worth, and dignity.

Since we serve on-the-go young people, gas cards, single-serving beverages, foods that travel well, and personal hygiene items are our top donation request items. We also stock a closet with clothing commonly needed by young people experiencing homelessness.

Food

Since we serve young people on the move, donations of snack-size and single-serving foods are most helpful:

Meals To-Go – Yakisoba/Chow Mein Packs, Hormel Compleats, Canned Soup, Mac & Cheese Boxes or Cups, Chef Boyardee, Hamburger Helper Boxed Dinners, Spaghetti Sauce & Boxed Noodles, Knorr Pasta & Rice Sides, Microwave Pasta & Rice Sides, Instant Potatoes
Breakfast To-Go – Microwave Pancake Cups, Microwave Oatmeal Cups, Oatmeal Packets, Cereal Boxes & Cups, Pancake Boxes & Syrup, Peanut Butter to-Go, Jelly

Clothing

We appreciate getting the following clothing items in any size. When considering a clothing donation, ask yourself “Would a 16-24 year old wear this item?”. If you would give it to an adult teenager in your family or a friend, then it’s likely a good fit for HOPE 4 Youth.

We believe in treating the youth who visit our clothing closet with dignity and respect. We will not accept clothing that is stained, ripped, missing buttons, has strong odors, or has broken zippers.
